Does EvaluWaves accept insurance? 

  • Unfortunately, we do not accept insurance at this time. However, we can provide our clients with an invoice for their respective insurance company.

What are the costs of services? 

  • The cost of services vary. For a more detailed rundown, please contact EvaluWaves.

What forms of payment do you accept?

  • We accept any major credit cards and cash apps, such as Venmo and Zelle.

What does a psychological evaluation process include?

  • Evaluations can vary depending on its purpose, the complexity of the issues being assessed, and the methods used. Evaluation assessments can include:

    • A Clinical Interview with parent(s)/guardian(s) and student.​

      • Behavioral observations.

      • Standardized Psychological Assessments.

      • Review of relevant documents.

      • Diagnostic formulation.

        • Interpretation of evaluation results and to identify any psychological conditions and/or disorders.

      • Written Psychological Report.

        • Summary of the clinical interview and observations.

        • Detailed test results and interpretation.

        • Diagnosis (if applicable).

        • Recommendations for treatment, accommodations, or further evaluation.

The evaluation is tailored to the individual’s specific needs and the questions that need to be answered, so not all evaluations will include every component listed here.

How long does the evaluation process take? 

  • The duration of a psychological evaluation can vary depending on its purpose, the complexity of the issue(s) being assessed, and the methods used. Generally, it can take anywhere from several hours to a few days.

Do you only evaluate in your office?

  • Depending on the case and if a child is more comfortable at home, assessments can be completed within the home setting.

Do you go into schools?

  • Depending on the case, school observations may be necessary along with teacher interviews.

  • Attendance of meetings can occur if parents need support interpreting the results of the evaluation to the school based team.
